Yoga for Absolute Beginners

Learn the fundamentals of the yoga experience with other absolute beginners.You are slowly guided through various yoga postures, breathing techniques, and alignment principles. In each class a new element is added. The workshop introduces techniques to build the core, become more flexible, ease back pain, destress, and detoxify.

Over the course of 4 sessions we focus on releasing tension, increasing flexibility, developing core strength, and proper breathing.  Standing postures, forward bends, and twists, and inversions will practiced to promote:

Detoxification
Body suppleness and strength
Stress reduction
Mental awareness for clearer thinking.
 
This beginners class is meant for anyone new to the practice or for those looking to review the basic of the poses. Although this is a beginners class be prepared to sweat!

Absolute Beginners Schedule

Mondays and Wednesdays  4 classes over 2 weeks
Evenings 7.30pm - 9pm starts Monday, Feburary 8th, runs Feb 8th, 10th, 15th, 17th
Mornings 9.30am - 11am starts Monday, February 1st, runs Feb 15th, 22nd, March 1st, 8th

Tuesday and Thursdays
Evenings 7.30pm - 9pm starting Tuesday February 9th, runs Feb 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th.

Weekends  runs 4 consecutive weeks
Saturday afternoons 1.30pm - 3pm starts February 13th, runs February 13th, 20th, 27th, March 6th
Saturday mornings 9.30am - 11am starts February 13th, run February 13th, 20th, 27th, March 6th
Sunday mornings 11am - 12.30pm starts Feb 7th, runs Feb 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th
Sunday afternoon
s  4- 5.30pm starts February 14tth, February 14th, 21st, 28th, March 7th

Cost: $80 for each 4 part session. Pre-registration required.  Limited space.

Design Your Own Session

Want to have your own beginners workshop? Learn yoga with you family, friends or neighbours. Get at least 5 people together and we can arrange a custom designed time for your group.

Private and Semi-Private Beginners Sessions

Private and semi-private sessions are also available starting at $75 session (based on 4 sessions.)

Prenatal Yoga

5 weeks / $90 (+GST)  

Pregnancy is an incredible, profound time in a woman's life, unlike any other! Give yourself and your baby the gift of yoga and spend your nine months (and beyond) feeling healthy, happy and positively glowing! Yoga can relieve many discomforts of pregnancy. Linking yoga postures with the breath will lead you to new discoveries, bringing awareness to the mind, body and spirit, and also the spirit of your baby. The classes are conducted in a calm, peaceful environment. The postures help facilitate more comfortable birthing, with postures that open the pelvis and use gravity to your advantage. Mentally, it enables you to enter into delivery focused and relaxed. You also find support and community practicing in a group with other pregnant women. No prior yoga experience is necessary. The classes use props such as blankets and blosters to make a variety of postures comfortable for everyone.   Recommended for women in their 2nd or 3rd trimester of pregnancy.

Yoga Bootcamp

Sweat inducing, core building class

Experience a sweat-inducing yoga class that integrates challenging bootcamp style exercises designed for total body conditioning. Boost your overall fitness, improve your yoga practice, and see positive results. This class is a real workout!

Yoga for Athletes, Runners & Cyclists4

6 weeks / $120 (+GST)   Cost includes 6 1.5 hour sessions with a top instructor + $25 Gift Certificate

When we participate in a sport or type of training we may create imbalances in the body. This 6 part workshop will show you how to strengthen the weak areas and stretch the tight areas in your body. Reduce your risk of injury by increasing your flexibility and strength. Balance, Symmetry and Alignment are the keys to being a healthy athlete. Do it for your hips and hamstrings! Whether you are a runner, a skier, or a squash player, this six-session workshop offers the perfect opportunity to tune into your body for improved athletic performance and overall well being. Participants should be prepared to move and sweat, but are encouraged to work within themselves and honor their limits.

Early Morning Yoga

6 weeks/$80 6 sessions(once/week) (+GST)   

Feel the benefits of starting your day with a flowing vinyasa class which will make you sweat and flow with energy. The class is open to all levels.

FRIDAYS 6.30am - 7.45am    Session started.  Call to join this session or drop-in $18/class.

Drop-ins and registration after starting date is welcome if space allows.   Annual passholders are free. Monthly passholders receive a 25% discount. Regular class passes are accepted with a $5 supplement. There are no make-ups but you can make-up a class with a regular class during the same period as the session.

Friday Morning Pilates

8 weeks /$120 (+GST)  

This class takes you through a fun and dynamic work out. Gain strength, flexibility, coordination and a heightened sense of body awareness through Pilates. Suitable for all levels.

Kids Yoga

8 weeks / $96 (+GST)  

A special class just for kids which combines yoga, play and partner games. .Children will learn yoga poses, games, and relaxation exercises. Many of the poses relate to nature, birds, and animals, whichs make yoga a natural interest for children. Partner poses and cooperative yoga games inspire positive peer interactions Classes allow children to develop a greater sense of body-awareness, social skills, concentration, and self-esteem.

Yoga Birthday Package

The basic party includes 90 minutes of studio time. The 90 minutes consists of one of two options:
A)  90 minute party during which time the instructor leads 90 minutes of yoga themed fun custom-designed for you. All parties include yoga poses, partner yoga, games, relaxation, mini-massage, plus a special creative project of your choice. Choose from a variety of party themes including: * Yoga Art Party * Yoga Dance Party * Yoga Organic Spa Party * Yoga Tasty (and Healthy!)Treats Party * Yoga Animal Party * Yoga Nature Party * Yoga Eco Fashion Party * Acro Yoga Party You can consult with the teacher in advance to determine the exact themes and nature of the party.
B) a 60 minute party as described above and 30 minutes to serve cake and goodies (provided by the parents of the birthday child).

Cost: $200 for 10 kids or less.  Each additional child is $15 with a maximum of 17 kids

Add on:
A 2 hour party which includes an additional 30 minutes of studio time to make a 90 minute yoga party and 30 minutes to serve food.

$75 deposit due when you book of your party. Full payment due a week before the party.

The Yoga Challenge

Over 30 days we challenge you to do at least 20 yoga classes.  As a group, participants are united and driven by their common goal.
Teachers are available to address concerns, advice, or simply listen.  Yoga has many benefits - physiological, mental and emotional.  By committing to a daily practice, those benefits unfold at a more rapid rate.  And if you complete 20 classes in 30 days, your name will be entered into a draw.  Prizes include Yoga Wear and a Massage Treatment.  Track your progress on our special 30 days challenge board.

We have our Winter Special in effect so you can participate in the challenge for only $60.
