Yoga at 95: A Short Film About My Aunt Lolitta

More than a decade ago, I made this short documentary about my Aunt Lolitta. She was 95 years old—and still doing yoga.

Her practice wasn’t fancy or advanced, but it was real. She moved with clarity, breath, and grace.
She reminded me—and still reminds me—that movement is what keeps us alive.

I don’t believe yoga is magical. But I do believe it’s powerful. It keeps your muscles engaged, your joints moving, and your spirit connected to your body. That’s what helps us age with vitality.

Aging is real. But so is the ability to move well for longer than we think.
Lolitta was an inspiration. She still is.
